I finally stopped being lazy and got around to finishing this...
This is amazing, really. :3
I always thought they didn't get along because they were so alike.
LOVE this. I find that many ladies end up being like their mum in one respect or another. I hope my girl will be a better version of me, just as I hope that I am a better version of my mum. I think that's what all mums wish for, isn't it?
Totally agree! ^^ I find myself acting like my mom all the time.
What a wonderful concept.
How do you do Merida's hair and Elinor's hair? This is great!
Its kind of hard to explain, sorry. But for the most part all I used was the regular defalt brush and a smudging tool.
It's kind of like that scene from the Lion King!
Oh my god!!Very interesting the idea for the illustration !
I dunno if it was intended, but I could feel the meaning behind this absolutely brilliant pic. This is soooo deep!!!!! Nice work.
Thank you, I'm glad you like it! The piece was based off of what King Fergus had said after Merida's speech to the Lords. ^^
That's the main idea of Brave-Movie althought many peoples hate thus for this reason. Elinor was right; Merida's fate was unavoidable, but she gives it a better path.
This is amazing! I love the underlying message... hit me right in the feels.
Amazing and magical! Greatly done work!
Well done as usual. I knew this piece would be beautiful when I saw the draft! I'm still jealous of your coloring/shading. Teach me your ways 0.0 Also...I miss you dearly...don't tell anyone
Aww that's so sweet, I love how you captured them...and Merida looks super cute. This is really sweet!
That's totally awesome, I love how their expressions just capture who they are. Wonderful.
Ohmigosh, this is AMAZING! Captain, this work is superbly done, and very creative. You have added your own style (which has improved a lot since I was on dA regularly), but you can still tell who the characters are, for sure. The mood is dreamy and still true to the film, which I love. My mom passed away last year and this was the last movie she bought me - it has become special to me, and your artwork really brings back great memories. Thank you for this, and keep up the amazing work! You have always inspired me, and I hope you have many happy years of drawing ahead of you.
;u; Aww thank you! It always brings me joy to see that I have inspired people through my art. This really means a lot, I can't even express with words.
Beautifully done! This is an awesome idea with a reflection of Elinor to Merida when she looks in the water. Of course, I think the film does show that Merida is like both of her parents. That scene where she reunites the clans shows just how much both Fergus and Elinor have influenced here.
